Application steps

  1. Confirm eligibility: remote work for overseas employers/clients plus the income threshold (or a nomad visa from another country)
  2. Apply via BOCA's online visa system, or submit at a TECO office abroad
  3. Book an interview or mail in documents; issuance typically takes 5–10 business days
  4. To stay longer, apply for an extension before expiry (6 months each, up to 3 times, 2 years total)
  5. Staying longer? Consider the Employment Gold Card: online application, work rights, 1–3 year validity

Required documents

Passport, proof of remote work (employment/client contracts), income proof (tax/salary records, or avg. bank deposits of USD 10,000 over the last 6 months), international medical insurance covering the full stay (NHI enrollment not available)
